Sun Worshippers
A row of sleepy-eyed sun worshippers,
like vain old women, draped
across Adirondack lounges,
necks craned to avoid wrinkling,
or getting a tan line.
Noses slightly upturned,
all superior and snotty,
leather-skinned turtles
stretch across a craggy log,
and work on their tans.
